• The most important factor affecting the reliability and performance of sprinkler systems is the selection of equipment and materials.
• One of these materials is the valves that provide the connections between water sources and sprinklers.
• The choice of the valves to be used is vital for the system.
• The valve to be used for sprinklers must be suitable for the system pressure.
• Each sprinkler installation shall have an alarm valve set in accordance with EN 12259-2 or EN 12259-3.
• With fire control valves, water control valves, regional control valves and water supply
• The control valves in the supply lines between the sprinkler installation are used.< /li>
• These valves must be position indicator and traceable.
• If the sprinkler system main supply pipe addresses more than one fire zone; a floor valve assembly consisting of a flow switch, a test drain valve and a traceable shut-off valve shall be installed in each zone or column line.
